Performance optimization and consumption management in the automotive sector.
Through continuous training and dedicated support, we aim to exceed our customers’ expectations and consolidate our position among the leaders of the chiptuning market.
Technical support is one of the core elements of DFB Technology’s activity.
The goal is to provide customers with fast, competent and practical assistance throughout every stage of use of the tools and the software.
To ensure an efficient and immediate service, assistance is provided through several communication channels, according to the type of request and the complexity of the issue encountered.
Through these channels the technical department supports customers on a daily basis in the reading, writing and programming of electronic control units.
One of the main tools used by the technical department is the analysis of log files.
Logs make it possible to reconstruct precisely the dialogue that takes place between the computer, the tool and the control unit (ECU/TCU).
Through this analysis it is possible to identify any anomalies or errors that occurred during the reading or writing procedure.
The information gathered allows the technical department to identify the cause of the error and develop software solutions or corrective updates where needed.
In some situations a control unit may no longer be able to establish proper communication with the tool. In these cases the technical department steps in by rebuilding the file needed to restore communication.
When a control unit has already been modified, the file read from the ECU no longer corresponds to the original factory one. Working on altered files can seriously compromise the final result. For this reason the technical department can recover the original file from the database.
In addition to the support provided by the technical department for recovering original files, customers can also access a dedicated reserved area on their own, where an organized database of original files is available.
The files are catalogued by:
This organization allows users to quickly search for and retrieve the original file they need.
In some cases control units can behave abnormally because of corrupted or non original files that alter the normal dialogue with the tool. To handle these situations the technical department can develop specific software updates (ad hoc drivers).
Our technical department develops targeted software updates (ad hoc drivers) designed exclusively for that particular electronics.
These drivers make it possible to adapt communication dynamically, bypassing the standard protocols so that the control unit can be handled correctly.
DFB Technology constantly develops new solutions and drivers to extend support to the various control units on the market. Before the official release, some drivers go through a beta testing phase.
This pre release phase makes it possible to test the behavior of the driver in real operating conditions and to collect useful feedback to refine the solution further.
Once the validation phase is complete and the stability of the driver has been verified, the update is officially released to all users through the normal software updates.
